Sukumar’s Daughter Sukriti Makes Her Debut in Award-Winning Drama
Sukriti Veni Bandreddi, daughter of Pushpa 2 director Sukumar, stars in the award-winning family drama Gandhi Tatha Chettu. The young actress, still in school, has already received critical acclaim, winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Child Artist and accolades at prestigious international film festivals.
Directed by Padmavathi Malladi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Gopi Talkies, Gandhi Tatha Chettu is set to release in theatres on January 24th. Producers Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, and Sesha Sindhu Rao announced the release date, with the film being presented by Tabitha Sukumar. The music is composed by Ree.
The film’s makers emphasize the importance of authentic storytelling, highlighting themes of peace, positivity, and the Gandhian ideal of non-violence. Early stills suggest an emotionally tender narrative that connects deeply with audiences.
Gandhi Tatha Chettu has won multiple awards, including Best Picture at the 11th Noida International Film Festival, Jury Best Film and Best Regional Film at the New Delhi Film Festival, and Jury Best Film at the Jaipur International Film Festival, among others.
