Celebrating brother-sister bond

We caught up with some and got them to share their plans on the festival.

Just like Raksha Bandhan, Bhai Dooj is an important festival in the calendar of telly actors. Many of them adjust their hectic schedules to make time for their siblings to celebrate the occasion. We caught up with some and got them to share their plans on the festival.

Divyanka Tripathi: “I’m blessed to have my brother Aishwarya Tripathi in my life. He is gentle, kind-hearted and a humble soul. Boys like him are a rare sight in today’s world. He is fun to be with, simply because he has a great sense of humour. Like all other siblings, we too have had our share of fist fights.”

Mrunal Jain: “The whole world knows actress Rashami Desai is my muhboli sister. Every year, I look forward to Bhai Dooj so I could spend some quality time with her. She is my support system and has been there during my difficult times. As a token of thanks and my unconditional love for her, I am planning to take her out for dinner to her favourite restaurant. Even though we are both busy shooting, we have managed to adjust our schedules so that we can hang out together. Our bond is very strong and we are blessed to have each other.”

Sharad Malhotra: “I will be missing my sister a lot this year as I will not be able to go to my hometown Kolkata due to my hectic work schedule. I will send her a customised chocolate bouquet on Bhai Dooj and a surprise gift too. I love her a lot and will be there with her in every decision she takes. I cannot think of life without her.”

Shardul Pandit: “I am flying home right after the shoot. My sister had a baby recently, so it’s going to be a special Diwali and Bhai Dooj for me this year. I am looking forward to spending time with her and my little nephew. There was a time when I was down and out, even depressed. She was my only strength who brought me back to life with her love and positivity. She is one of the strongest human beings I know.”
