I don't mind being friends with Karan: Jennifer Winget
Jennifer Winget isn’t letting her past affect her any more. After her divorce to Karan Singh Grover, her name was once again dragged up when Karan decided to tie the knot with Bipasha Basu this year.
She says, “These little things don’t bother me any more. I have so much love from my fans, family, and colleagues that I don’t have the inclination to see what is happening in someone else’s life.
"My past has helped me grow as a person. It has made me who I am today. I will always be grateful for every single person that has come into my life and gone away. After all isn’t that what life is all about? Put these experiences in your bag, have a smile on your face, and walk ahead.”
Does this mean that the actress is open to the idea of staying in touch with her ex husband, we ask.
She says, “I am not in touch with Karan but I don’t mind being friends with him. We have shared a lot at one point. Every person has good and bad qualities but I choose to focus on the good. Even I have flaws, so why not?”
Recently, pictures of the actress with her close friend Sehban Azim were doing the rounds on the Internet. The two were even romantically linked.
Putting rumours to rest about her relationship status, she says, “Why will I close my door on love? But I am not dating Sehban; he is my friend. Come on ek ladka ladki dost ho sakte hai yaar (a guy and girl can be friends). I have known him since the Dil Mil Gaye days and have been friends with him ever since. Why are people making it a big deal?”
Her act in her new show Beyhadh is making heads turn.
Talking about her character, Jennifer says, “Maya has a lot of layers to her. She is a guarded person because of an incident that happened to her during her childhood. But when Arjun comes into her life, things change. She doesn’t know how to handle the love because she hasn’t experienced it. She can go to any length to get what she wants but she is not a psycho.”
