Karan Mehra who skyrocketed to fame as the adorable Naitik Singhania had ended his seven year long association with the iconic show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. In a heartbreaking development, Karan Mehra the leading man of the show has finally quit over health issues. The entire unit and the channel are in a state of shock over Karan’s exit.
The actor was supposed to leave the show in the month of February but the channel and the production house requested him to stay on and the affable actor readily obliged despite his health woes. But this time when the actor put in his papers, the channel and the production house had no option but to let the actor leave with a heavy heart ofcourse.
Confirming the development in an exclusive chat with Asian age, Karan Mehra says, “Yes its true I have quit. Naitik will no longer be part of the show anymore. Today was my last day. The crew and the cast were like family. Its been a long association with them so saying good bye was difficult. It made me emotional. Though it was not easy but I was kind of prepared for it as I had made up my mind to move on. Honestly I never wanted to quit but I just could not continue anymore. My health woes were worsening day by day. I am on immunotherapy shots. I have developed HAH (High Altitude Headaches) & Back Spasms. My allergies have boomed & the doc asked me to take it easy or i would collapse n reach the ICU. It was high time I looked after myself. So I left the show”.
The actor further added “I need rest. This break will enable me to work on my health and look after my wife Nisha as well. When my wounds heal I will bounce back recharged and rejuvenated than ever”. The actors fans have been upset ever since the actor’s wife announced the news on a social networking site. A war broke out on twitter and there have been outburst from heartbroken fans. Commenting on the same, Karan says, “My heart goes out to my fans. They have been very supportive over all these years. They are upset I know but I am sure they will continue loving me anyways, I assure them the moment my health gets better I will be back to entertain them”
