Shakti — Astitva ke Ehsaas Ki has been attracting eyeballs for it’s gripping storyline. Actress Kamya Punjabi is seen as Vivian D’sena, aka Harman’s mother in the show. Though she might appear to be a boisterous Punjabi mother on the screen, the actress is a total contrast to her onscreen character in real life.
Since this is the first time the actress is playing a mother on television, she is drawing inspiration from her own mom to churn out a convincing performance. Looks like it has helped the actress, since she has been winning accolades from everyone on the sets. Kamya says, “When this character was narrated to me, I immediately thought of my mother, Nanda Punjabi. She is my inspiration for the role, and has also helped me perform well. There are a lot of nuances and mannerisms I have picked up from my mother to essay this role. The way she talks or thinks in a particular situation — it’s all drawn from her.”
