Anupamaa: Rupali Ganguly behind Sudanshu Pandey Exit?
TV actor Sudhanshu Pandey, during his interaction with his fans and colleagues, gave them shock when they announced that they were quitting the popular television show Anupamaa. Even though there is no official statement regarding his departure, some say it could be due to a spat with one of his co-stars Rupali Ganguly that has been making rounds in the industry. Nonetheless, these statements remain unsupported.
Aashish Mehrotra, Sudhanshu's on-screen son Toshu, also showed some emotion when hearing the news. In a chat with media, Aashish said that he too got to know about Sudhanshu quitting the show through social media. "It was shocking for me too," he admitted. "But I respect his decision. It is the responsibility of an actor to explore and gather more work. Sudhanshu was really distinct as Vanraj Shah and his presence will be an absence."
With reports of Sudhanshu and Rupali falling out circulating, Aashish also interjected himself into the debate saying, “Look, in any house for example if there are some utensils, there are bound to be clashing at some points. No, but I don’t know the real cause for that because I don’t know any more about not being in the show.” He went on to say that he doesn’t know what happens behind the scenes but does not think that there was undue conflict between the two actresses when he was present on the set. "In a working scenario, little scuffles are quite habitual,, however, no ends up taking scuffles back home," he continued.
There have been other occasions when the controversies involving Sudhanshu and Rupali have been brought up. As per the reports, riffs used to come between them and as per some reports, they haven’t spoken ever since. However, later on, Sudhanshu’s refuted those claims asking people to go on the set and see how close the two are. “When you read rifts and fights: It is a rumor. I have said this before, and I will say this again: A rumor is just a rumor,” he said in an interview.
Certainly, Sudhanshu Pandey will be best remembered by his fans and colleagues who played Vanraj Shah in Anupamaa, together he left the character Kher in Anupamaa, has created a conundrum.
