Tamil Star Ajith's Good Bad Ugly Goes Over Budget?
Hyderabad: If Chennai sources are to be believed, the leading Telugu production house which has teamed up with Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar for a big-ticket action film ‘Good Bad Ugly’ is digging deep into its pockets to make a lavish film. “The budget has gone over Rs 270 crores which is ahead of their planned budget,” says the source who adds, "Mythri Movie Makers didn’t want to compromise since it is their maiden Tamil film and want to match with big Tamil producers and prove their mettle.”
Recently, the makers unveiled the second-look poster featuring Ajith Kumar in a new avatar. “Ajith is seen wearing black shades and a prisoner's uniform, exuding energy and intensity. The tattoo on his hand and the backdrop of blazing gunfire add to the drama” he adds. Ajith Kumar, in collaboration with director Adhik Ravichandran, is much-awaited in Kollywood since Adik’s earlier film ‘Mark Antony’ was a box office winner.
No doubt, Mythi Movie Makers are known for delivering lavish productions and tasted success with ‘Pushpa The Rule’ along with ‘Srimanthudu’, ‘Janatha Garage’ and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ to carve a niche for themselves in Kollywood. “They are also doing a Bollywood film with Sunny Deol and they wouldn’t mind spending big sums in other language movies to expand their brand value,” he concludes.
