After delivering the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rule with Allu Arjun, leading Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers is riding high on success once again—this time across Bollywood and Kollywood as well.

“We're on cloud nine and almost speechless with joy,” beams Ravi Shankar Yellamanchili, expressing his excitement over the grand opening of their latest Bollywood venture Jaat. “The film has opened to phenomenal collections and is expected to maintain its momentum, especially in the Hindi heartland. It’s a full-fledged commercial entertainer with Sunny Deol in a role his fans absolutely love,” he adds.
According to trade reports, Jaat raked in an impressive Rs 15 crore on Sunday, improving upon its Rs 10 crore opening day and Rs 45 overall till date. “It’s smashing records, though it’s too early to delve into exact numbers,” he notes.
Speaking about working with the veteran action hero Sunny Deol, he says, “He’s a thorough professional—dedicated and larger-than-life. Director Gopichand Malineni has made the most of his screen presence, and theatre audiences are going wild.”
On the Kollywood front, Mythri Movie Makers has teamed up with Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar for Good Bad & Ugly, which has opened to massive numbers of Rs 60 crore plus till date. “Ajith sir’s star power is undeniable. The film is already in the top three grossers in Tamil Nadu. With today being Tamil New Year, we expect collections to surge further and thereafter,” Ravi Shankar shares. “Working with Ajith was a revelation—he’s not only a superstar but also a wonderful human being.”
He draws a parallel between their Bollywood and Kollywood outings, highlighting the vibrant response from audiences. “Watching these films in packed theatres, hearing the cheers, feeling the energy—it’s a different high. Single screens are alive again. Theatre vibes are truly back with a bang.”
Reflecting on their journey, Ravi Shankar credits their experience with Telugu superstars for shaping their ability to handle big-budget entertainers. “We’ve been fortunate to work with icons like Chiranjeevi garu (Waltair Veerayya), Mahesh Babu (Srimanthudu), Jr NTR (Janatha Garage), Ram Charan (Rangasthalam), and of course, Allu Arjun with the Pushpa series.”
Looking ahead, Mythri has an exciting lineup: Fauji with Prabhas and PEDDI with Ram Charan. “We’re passionate about creating commercial cinema and our team knows how to bring big-ticket projects to a global audience. We hope to continue collaborating with major stars again and again,” he concludes.
