Rajamouli’s RRR spirals

Secretly, sections of the Telugu film industry call RRR the new-age Mughal-e-Azam. The never-ending shooting of Rajamouli’s latest, RRR, is turning the film into an impossibly expensive project. Sources say the producers are at their wit’s end about controlling the spiralling budget. We have heard that both the leading men, Ram Charan and NTR Jr, have offered to waive a part of their fee to economise the film’s currently out-of-control budget.

“Besides the two leading men who are willing to take a cut, Ajay Devgn is not charging any money. Also, Alia Bhatt may do her work for a token fee. Everybody is co-operating,” says one of our sources.

Now, if only RRR makes it for the Sankranti 2021 release!
