Shriram, a Ram Lila dance drama production, was staged in Hyderabad by the Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, which has successfully completed more than 2,000 shows 62 years.
Originally set in ‘Awadhi’ language, it is now being presented in Hindi to reach out to a wider audience. The performance was anamalgamation of traditional presentations interwoven with ‘digital backdrop’coming intermittently to try and convey many facets of Ramayana like the supernatural powers of Lord Hanuman.

Many of the participating artistes come with a background of being trained in Kathak, Chau, Odissi and other traditional dance forms. Background music, under guidance of Sarod player Biswajit Roy Chowdhury, brought out relevant emotions aptly.
