Things Are Finally Looking Up for Shanaya
She has four films in hand, without a single release yet!

After several delays and setbacks, things are finally looking up for Shanaya Kapoor. The actor has wrapped up her long-awaited Bollywood debut, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, opposite Vikrant Massey — and that’s just the beginning. She now has three more projects in the pipeline.
Shanaya will be seen next alongside Superboys of Malegaon star Adarsh Gourav in Bejoy Nambiar’s quirky survival thriller Tu Yaa Main. The film follows two social media content creators whose collaboration takes a dark turn. Set for a Valentine’s Day 2026 release, the teaser trailer received a largely positive response online.
“Honestly, I can see potential in Shanaya,” wrote one social media user. Another commented, “Don’t know why her debut was delayed so much and trolled unnecessarily! All the best!”
Up next, she’s also set to star in Student of the Year 3, where she plays a double role opposite Munjya actor Abhay Verma. “Shanaya has signed up for a variety of genres and has really worked on herself,” says an industry source. “When she screen-tested and shot a bit for her debut Bedhadak, her acting left a lot to be desired. After the film was shelved, she used that time to seriously improve her craft.”
The actor is also making her South Indian cinema debut with Mohanlal’s Vrushabha, which she has already filmed.
“Ananya Panday has so far been the only one from the current ‘nepo baby’ crop to stand out,” says the source. “But hopes are riding high on Shanaya now.”
