Actress Mirnalini Ravi, who recently made her Tamil debut with the film Super Deluxe, is all set to foray into Telugu cinema. Known for her dubsmash videos on social media, Mirnalini has now been given an opportunity to be part of the happening project. The film’s director Harish Shankar, who is helming Valmiki, the Telugu version of the Tamil film Jigarthanda, fell for her expressive abilities as seen in her videos on social media.
The filmmakers conducted a look test and a photo shoot for Mirnalini on the day of the film’s launch.
Although they were happy with the results, they wanted to keep their options open at first and were in no rush to announce her name. However, eventually, they decided that she was the right pick for the part.
While her role has been kept under the wraps, the buzz is that she might reprise Lakshmi Menon’s role from the original. Also, the Tamil actor Atharva Murali will also be part of the film, which marks his debut in Telugu cinema.
