Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi to release in deficit?
Having spent more on making the film than they were expecting to, the producers seem a tad nervous.
The shooting of Mahesh Babu’s forthcoming film Maharshi has finally come to an end! And while the film’s producers Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt seem to be cross with each other, it is being said that the film is going to release in a deficit.
Apparently, the expenditure incurred on the film has surpassed the anticipated budget as its makers have ended up spending Rs 130 crore on the project. And as far as the film’s pre-release business is concerned, they’ve managed to rake in around Rs 110 crore only.
A source in the know said, “While it is true that the filmmakers are in a tizzy about recovering their investment, they’re also fairly confident that the action drama will set the cash registers ringing.”
