Many Tamil actors have their eyes on the Telugu market and the latest of them all is Sivakarthikeyan. The actor is successful in the Tamil industry with some good blockbusters, and wants to expand his market to Telugu Cinema too.
That’s why he decided to release his film Remo, a hit in Tamil, in Telugu as well. Generally, many actors choose to release their film on the same date in both languages, but this film has already released in Tamil more than a month ago. He then approached the Telugu producer Dil Raju to release it in Telugu.
“The actor wants to use the producer’s banner for the Telugu release. He also gave Rs 2 crore for the publicity of the film,” says a source. So technically, Dil Raju has only provided his banner name and he hasn’t got the Telugu distribution rights as he announced, adds the source.
The Tamil producer RD Raja, who also looks after Siva Karthikeyan dates has taken care of everything here with the help of Raju. Even the theatre rent is paid by him and Dil Raju hasn’t put a single rupee on it. The rumour mills say he has been paid an hefty amount for using his banner.
