Glam diva Shruti Haasan has done an item song “Odiyamma’ in her upcoming Telugu film ‘Hi Nanna’ and matched dance steps with hotshot Nani in a multilingual entertainer. “Shruti has been very selective about her special songs and guest appearances,” says a source and adds, “She would have pocketed Rs 80 lakhs for her chartbuster and being a good dancer, she could have wrapped up her work much faster than others.”
Earlier, Shruti Haasan did a special number in Telugu film ‘Aagadu’ opposite superstar Mahesh Babu and also appeared in a song in Hindi film ‘Tevar’. “Top actresses doing item numbers will give fillip to the commercial entertainers since divas like Shruti rarely do such songs. They also expand the mileage of the film to varied languages where they are popular,” he points out.
Meanwhile, the daughter of Kamal Haasan, has scored a hat trick in Tollywood with ‘Krack,’, ‘Veerasimha Reddy’ and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and panting for more. “She is doing films with middle-aged superstars and keeping her rating high and happening.
