"Kaatera," the action-packed Kannada drama directed by Tharun Sudhir and produced by Rockline Venkatesh, is set to make its OTT debut on Zee5 following its theatrical release on December 29, 2023. Initially unveiled on February 16, 2022, by Tharun Sudhir on Darshan's birthday, the project underwent a producer shift, with Rockline Venkatesh taking over. The film introduces Aradhana Ram, daughter of actress Malashree, and veteran actor Jagapathi Babu as the antagonist.
Celebrating Darshan's birthday on February 26, 2023, the makers revealed the title and first look of "Kaatera." Co-written by Jagadeesh Kumar Hampi, the movie also enlisted renowned dialogue writer Maasti and actor Kumar Govind.
While "Kaatera" continues to thrive at the box office, the official OTT launch date and digital partner details remain undisclosed. However, the film is likely to hit the OTT platform sometime in Feb given the success of the movie as also the 45-day rule.
