Rana Daggubati’s health status remains under a cloud, despite assurances from family members and his father Suresh Babu that all is well.
A source informs that the actor is not 100 per cent fit, although there is no serious problem as such.
Close family sources say that the actor has a kidney problem and that his mother is willing to donate her kidney to him. “But Rana has refused his mother’s offer as he feels it may affect her health,” says a source.
Both the actor and his mother suffer from high blood pressure (BP). “Typically, family members can donate in a situation like this, but Rana doesn’t want to risk his mother’s health,” adds the source.
Meanwhile, Suresh Babu is looking for other options. The plan is to go abroad for the transplant where they can easily get a donor. “Right now, the family is waiting for a donor and the surgery may take place either in Singapore or in the USA,” says the source.
Rana has cut down on his work commitments and has not signed any new film lately. Suresh Babu and his family members are also keeping a low profile.
“Recently, a close family function was held and Suresh Babu and family didn’t attend it as they didn’t want to make Rana’s health as a news item,” says the source.
