Anasuya excited to work with Chiranjeevi
When compere-actress Anasuya was approached for a significant role in Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, Godfather, (a remake of Malayalam film Lucifer), her excitement knew no bounds.
Being part of her favourite hero’s film has been on her wish list for a long time.
“I came close to being part of a couple of Chiru sir’s films earlier, but somehow, things did not materialise. When I was offered a role in Godfather I thought I’d be third time lucky,” she reveals, adding that she would soon commence shooting for the action thriller.
Having grown up idolising Chiranjeevi, Anasuya says sharing the screen with him would be her ‘fan girl’ moment. “Working with him will perhaps be one of my best memories,” she shares.
Anasuya had met Chiranjeevi a few times at filmy functions and at television reality shows. “Chiru Sir always appreciated my work and has been constantly encouraging. In fact, I tried to emulate Chiru Sir in bringing out emotion for my role as Rangamattha in Rangasthalam. I tried to be rooted,” she reveals, adding that Chiranjeevi had also shared a few acting tips with her.

Anasuya says she is floored by Chiranjeevi’s humility. “I think that’s what makes him a megastar,” she asserts.
