Close on the heels of Jr NTR, another reigning Telugu star Ram Charan is to be inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, also known as the Oscars. Ram Charan joined the academy’s actors branch as a new member.
It is a great honor for Ram Charan, as well as a proud moment for Telugu cinema, because two of our Telugu stars are Academy members.
The Academy in its statement said, “Through their nuanced portrayal and dedication to authenticity, these actors gift us characters that leave a lasting impression on our hearts and minds. Their mastery of their art form transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary cinematic experiences, enriching our appreciation for the depth and complexity of human emotions.
We’re thrilled to welcome these accomplished performers to the Actors Branch of the Academy: Lashana Lynch, Ram Charan, Vicky Krieps, Louis Koo Tin-Lok, Keke Palmer, Chang Chen, Sakura Ando, Robert Davi.”
On the work front, Ram Charan is looking forward to the release of his upcoming big ticket film 'Game Changer' with ace director Shankar. He is also going to commence his next with young director Buchi Babu next year.
