Pretty actress Trisha has reportedly replaced Nayantara to play the female lead opposite ace actor Kamal Haasan in the much-hyped multilingual movie to directed by Mani Ratnam. "Trisha has accepted the advance amount since she was impressed with the role narrated by Mani Ratnam. She shares a good rapport with the director since their earlier film together Ponniyin Selvan' shattered box office records besides Trisha's performance as Princess Kundavai was one the highlights of the historical film," says a source.
Earlier, reports were making rounds that Nayantara was demanding Rs 12 crores and it was the highest for any actress for a Tamil film, albeit it will be released in other languages considering the popularity of Kamal and Mani Ratnam. “Trisha has done very few films like "Thoogavanam" and "Manmadha Anbu" with Kamal Haasan and she is joining hands with him after a long gap, " he adds.
