I took a giant leap to the big screen: Darshana Banik
One of the most sought-after models in Kolkata, Bengali actress Darshana Banik is all set to make her Telugu debut opposite Naara Rohith in the forthcoming film Aatagallu, directed by Paruchuri Murali. Sharing details on how she got the project, Darshana says, “I had to endure eight rounds of auditions on various aspects like dialogue delivery, diction, expressions, look test, etc., before eventually bagging the project. But it was a great experience to work in a Telugu film.”
Describing her role, she says, “I play a working professional in an MNC; I am very independent in my thought process. How things change when I meet Rohith is interestingly narrated.”
The model-turned-actress has done a few Bengali films and signed on six projects.
“After doing several ad campaigns and walking the runway for design maestros, I recently took a giant leap to the big screen. I was also a part of the music video Ye Dil Hai Bekarar last year. I have been on a signing spree and I shall put in more efforts to excel,” she signs off.
