Animal to make Rs 25 crores in Telugu states?
The much-hyped Hindi film ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Madanna has drawn sensational openings and it is going to make more than Rs 25 crores in two Telugu states, “ "The film was sold for Rs 15 crores in Telugu states and now riding on huge openings, the action film is going to garner more than Rs 25 crores in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. If the collections sustain this week, it would even make more money," says a source and adds, “It could turn out into one of the biggest Bollywood grosser in Telugu states, provided there is no dip in collections from Monday,”
The action saga being directed by Telugu director Sandeep Vanga has triggered a lot of hype in South as well since his earlier Telugu movie "Arjun Reddy' rocked South India. "Sandeep Vanga directorial 'Animal' rocked Bangalore but it couldn’t draw great openings in Chennai due to heavy rains. It was just ok in Kerala, while Telugu viewers have lapped up the film in a big way,” he adds.
After Shah Rukh Khan who swayed south Indian audiences with back to back hits ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, it is now the turn of Ranbir Kapoor to mint gold in south India. His anger-driven role has been appreciated all over and it would be one of the top grossers from south India. “It was Ranbir Kapoor’s film all the way and he pulled off a very challenging role with ease and showcased varied shades and won appreciation from non-Hindi viewers too,” he informs
In fact, Ranbir Kapoor spent a lot of time promoting the film in the south and also promoted the film well in Hyderabad. He was jovial and friendly on stage and won accolades. “Ranbir Kapoor's next film will also be received well in the south since he has earned the respect and love of south film viewers,” he concludes.
