Sethupathi' to be remade in Telugu
Director S.U. Arun Kumar, a popular name in the short-film circuit, made his entry as a feature film director with Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum.
He made a mark for himself yet again with his second Tamil directorial venture titled Sethupathi. Starring Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan in the lead, the film turned out to be a successful one for the director and the actor as well.
Now, Sethupathi is all set to be remade in Telugu. Confirming the news, Arun Kumar says, “I am glad that my film has impressed many people across the country. Two months back, a team approached me for a possible remake. We had script discussions and I gave my inputs for the remake. However, I won’t be helming it.”
Sources say that Ganta Ravi Teja, son of popular politician and Telangana State HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, will be reprising Vijay Sethupathi’s cop role in the Telugu version. A source adds, “Currently, the pre-production is on and an official announcement is still awaited.”
