Writer Harshavardhan, who is making his directorial debut with forthcoming film Googly, says that the period drama will take the audience by surprise. Interestingly, the film was titled Good Bad Ugly earlier.
“In the present scenario, the audience are using the names of the films in short form on social media. For example, Attarintiki Daredi was called AD and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde was called GJG, etc. So we rechristened our film Good, Bad And Ugly as Googly. Since googly is a delivery that surprises the batsman in cricket, we believe our story too will surprise the audience,” explains Harshvardhan about why the film has been named so.
About the film’s plot, he says, “Every human portrays three emotions good, bad and ugly. The story revolves around how four main characters in the film exhibit these emotions,” The rustic love story, which is set against a 1980s backdrop, stars Sree Mukhi.
