Tanya Hope's going places!
Tanya Hope, who has finished shooting for Telugu film Paper Boy, will soon be making her Kannada debut with Home Minister, starring Upendra. She shares, “I play a modern, independent working girl in the film. I feel I got the opportunity at the right time since this would be Uppi sir’s last film before taking the political plunge. He’s a pro and knows everything about filmmaking from acting to direction and the best camera angles. So you will walk out of his set learning so much.”
The actress reveals that she shot for one of the schedules of the film despite being injured. “The action scenes had me falling and hurting myself several times. There was one scene where I fell from a height, got badly injured and started bleeding. But the shot came out well so it was all worth it. I am glad to be part of a film in my mother tongue and it was a great experience.”
Interestingly, Tanya is also gearing up for her Tamil debut Thadam, directed by Magizh Thirumeni. She’s been paired opposite Arun Vijay in the film.
“I can’t reveal anything about my role; we want everything to come in as a surprise to the audience. That’s why even our trailer doesn't reveal much about the film. But I was fascinated with the director’s clarity of thought. I was attached to the crew so much that I got emotional on the last day of shoot,” she says.
