Amitabh Bachchan to Work With Top Telugu Director
Actually, it is very difficult to convince legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan with a script since he is very keen on novelty. “Amitabh prefers to work with a group of directors in Bollywood and likes to be in a comfort zone these days,” says a source and adds, "Amitabh has become very choosy and only doing challenging roles because he has done so many roles in his illustrious career and doesn’t want to repeat himself,” he adds.
However, in the midst of his busy work, Amitabh got to meet a Telugu director and also gave him a appointment to listen to his story. “’Deewar’ star was stunned with the unique storyline narrated by Telugu director Ashok Kumar who made blockbuster Telugu film ‘Bhaagamathie’. He gave his nod to his gripping entertainer impressed by the captivating narration and the film will soon go on sets,” adds the source.
A talented director who proved his mettle in Telugu with different films like 'Chitragandha', moved to Bollywood by remaking his psychological thriller ‘Bhaagamathie’ in Hindi as ‘Durgamati’ with Bhumi Padnekar His work impressed B-town star Akshay Kumar too. “Ashok is spending more time in Mumbai and could be doing more Hindi films to expand his horizons and prove his mettle in Bollywood too,” he concludes.
After Ram Gopal Varma, Sandeep Vanga, another Telugu director is trying to make some space in Hindi film industry.
