Mrunal Thakur drives on the wrong track?
Pretty actress Mrunal Thakur seems to be fascinated with performance-oriented roles these days. After playing a lover girl in the tragic love story ‘Sita Ramam,’ the actress is again doing a performance-driven role in her upcoming film ‘Hi Nanna’. In a promotional event, Mrunal claimed that her role would ‘pinch the hearts’ of the viewers. “Probably, another role where she would shed a few tears and showcase her histrionic skills,” says a source. “If she keeps doing such roles, she would have difficult times in Tollywood,” he adds.
Mrunal Thakur has proved her mettle in glam-centric roles in Bollywood and could slip into all kinds of ultra-glam outfits with ease if you go by her pictures uploaded on her social media platforms. “She has to do more glam-centric roles in Tollywood to reach the top. Otherwise, she will be relegated to roles with substance, and it would limit her reach,” adds the source.
He also cites the success of actresses like Samantha, Kajal, Tamaannah, and Shruti Haasan, who joined the big league in Tollywood by playing glam divas onscreen. “An actress should be a good mix of glam and performance and shouldn’t give up the oomph factor. Mrunal should change her track and pick glam roles. As Telugu filmmakers are good at sketching such roles and also depict them nicely onscreen to extend the careers of glam girls, otherwise it will turn damp squib,” he concludes.
