Guntur Kaaram ticket rates on par with Salaar?
With state governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh reportedly giving their nod for a ticket hike, the admission rates for the much-hyped film ‘Guntur Kaaram’ would be Rs 400 in Telangana and Rs 210 in Andhra Pradesh. “The ticket rates would be varying in two Telugu states. Telangana government has permitted Rs 100 hike, while Andhra Pradesh government allowed Rs 60 hike per ticket since it is a festival season,” says a source.
Earlier, a similar hike was granted for 'Salaar' Part 1- Ceasefire. "They got a hike of Rs 100 hike on a ticket in multiplexes and Rs 50 hike in single screens which is far less than the ticket rates of 'RRR' which was pegged at Rs 403," he adds. Nonetheless, the producers of ‘Guntur Kaaram’ could be happy with the hike since they have invested big and sold the film for over Rs 110 crores in two Telugu states.
Meanwhile, leading producer Dil Raju who is distributing the film in the Nizam region has allocated more theatres for his action adventure on January 12. “Dil Raju wants more theatres since he is looking to make a quick buck since festival crowds would throng theatres on the first day,” he points out.
The makers also approached the newly formed government with specific requests and their other requests include permission for six shows on Day 1, starting from 4 am across Nizam, and special shows at selected screens on Day 1, beginning at 1 am and everything is under consideration.
