Sri Vishnu is on cloud nine
Actor Sri Vishnu is happy about the response to his latest film Mental Madhilo. “Many people appreciated the film and my performance, but more importantly, the film also made some money, which made me happier,” says Sri Vishnu, revealing that when a director approaches him for a film, he generally takes a lot of time. “But for this film, I immediately said yes to director Vivek,” he says.
The actor is clear in his thinking. “I am very clear about what roles I can do. When people approach me for different roles, if I am able to deliver, then I say yes, otherwise I tell them that I am not suitable for the role. Many careers are involved in a film and I don’t want to spoil any of them,” says the actor.
For Mental Madhilo, Sri Vishnu worked alongside two actresses, Nivetha Pethuraj and Amrutha Srinivasan.
“I generally didn’t talk much to the female leads as I was focused on my work. But I was able to perform easily for this film, and even though both the actresses are from Tamil cinema, they learnt Telugu quickly, and that helped me put in a good performance,” he says.
The actor also shares that his upcoming film Needi Naadi Oka Katha is ready for release and that he is shooting for two more films — Thippara Meesam, directed by Vijay and Veerabhoga Vasantharayulu, a multi-starrer that also has Sudheer Babu and Nara Rohit in key roles. “It’s a different and interesting script. I like the concept and the screenplay,” he says.
