Regina Cassandra has been laying low ever since her last Telugu outing Awe. But she’s sprung back to action, literally! The actress will be seen in Adivi Sesh’s next thriller. Debutant director Ramji will helm the film, which has already begun shooting a fortnight back.
Regina, who has been on a signing spree in Tamil films, feels this role is substantial and will not portray her as just eye candy. She was given a narration long ago and the actress was quick to come on board for the project. She feels the thriller film would be an ideal follow up in Telugu after her makeover in Awe.
A source in the development informs, “Regina always wants to do different films. When she got the chance to be part of a thriller, she quickly grabbed it. Moreover, she found her role and the script to be different.”
Meanwhile the actress is also wrapping the shooting of her Bollywood debut film, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, starring Sonam Kapoor.
