Ram Charan Prefers AR Rahman Over DSP
Reigning star Ram Charan has reportedly shown more interest to rope in music wizard A R Rahman for his upcoming big-bucks untitled film with young director Buchi Babu. “Being a sports-centric emotional drama and demanding extraordinary compositions and equally captivating background score to enhance the mood of the film,” says a source.
Actually, young director Buchi Babu scored a big musical hit film ‘Uppena’ with ace Telugu composer Devisriprasad. The songs from the movie like “Nee Kallu Neeli Samudram’, ‘Sandram Lona Neerantha’ and ‘Dhak Dhak Dhak’ busted musical charts as they captured the mood and situations in this love saga elegantly. “Buchi Babu is a good friend of DSP and always admired his soulful compositions. He also thought of DSP for his second movie with one of the biggest stars in Tollywood, Ram Charan and initiated discussions but things changed a bit,” adds the source.
Ram Charan, who has reached great heights in his career and with a fan following among Hindi and Tamil growing by the day, preferred to work with a composer like AR Rahman who has pan-India appeal and belts out tunes that regale music lovers across the world. “Ram Charan has great regards for DSP but he felt this film needed AR Rahman,” concluded the source.
The Madras Wizard was immediately roped in for this pan-Indian film to be released in multiple languages.
