Veteran actress Jayasudha played a big fan of Nandamuri Balakrishna in her latest release ‘Miss Shetty Mr Shetty’ to evoke a few laughs. She explains Balakrishna’s dialogues to her English-speaking neighbours in the UK and they appreciate the depth in his dialogues. But they fail to understand his other powerful dialogue ‘Don’t trouble the trouble’ from his movie ‘Srimannarayana’ although it is being spoken in English. .
Later, she uses the same dialogue to her daughter (Anushka) when she tries to avoid talking about marriage. She even quotes his dialogue ‘both are not same’ from his movie ‘Akhanda’ on a hospital bed, when Anushka tries to wake her up, assuming that she is dead but she says that is just sleeping.
Young director Mahesh Babu proved that you need not resort to double entendres and slapstick to evoke laughs, rather rely on situational humour to leave the audience in splits.
However, Jayasudha who is known for her tear-jerker roles and also hailed as a natural performer plays a light-hearted role and carries her role with ease.
