With more than half-a-dozen movies slated for release on October 6 and important theatres becoming scarce in twin cities, popular actor Sudheer Babu approached their kin Ms Namrata, wife of superstar Mahesh Babu, to help them to get them more theatres for his film ‘Mama Mascheendra.’ “Namrata , who is always forthcoming to help out people, spoke to the leading exhibitor Sunil Narang since they are partners in AMB. She urged him to allocate more theaters to Sudheer Babu. Her words worked wonders and he got a few best theatres in twin cities despite stiff competition from other films,” says a reliable source.
Actually, Sudheer Babu, brother-in-law of Mahesh Babu, was banking on this revenge drama ‘Mama Mascheendra’ to bounce back in the reckoning and also he was essaying multiple roles in the movie. “He wanted to reach the maximum number of viewers from day one so wanted more theatres since it was a very important film in his career since his earlier films didn’t fare well as expected,” he adds.
However, the film opened to mixed response while critics panned the weak script. The makers are planning big promotions to enhance footfalls in theatres in days to come.
