Driven by passion, says Abhinav Sardhar
Abhinav Sardhar, a businessman who runs a well known chai shop franchise in the city, is often seen involved in several social programmes. However, what’s interesting is his passion for acting. Despite not being able to crack into the big league yet, he has never given up trying.
After working in films like Tejam and Hormones, Abhinav is set to be seen in R.P. Patnaik’s Vyuha, a Kannada-Telugu bilingual.
His latest appearance was in Friday release Rakshasi, a horror comedy co-starring Poorna and Abhimanyu Singh. The actor plays the protagonist’s husband. “My character remains silent often. He keeps to himself and is always engrossed in work,” he reveals.
Hailing from Achampet in Mahbubnagar, Abhinav’s interest in cinema began in childhood. “I am extremely passionate about everything to do with movies. I don’t care about the money, but crave to do a lot in films,” shares the actor, who quit a graduate degree from NIT Warangal to pursue his dream. However, he eventually ventured into a different arena and worked as a senior marketing person in several MNCs before quitting to start his own brand. And although he has found success there, Abhinav wants to give more space to his passion. “I know nothing will give me a greater high than being recognised as an actor,” he concludes.
