NTR\'s Devara Music Rights Sold for Whopping Price
The heady combination of superstar Jr NTR and reigning Tamil composer Anirudh Ravichander for their upcoming big ticket film ‘Devara’ seems to have triggered a lot of buzz in the industry. “The audio rights of ‘Devara’ were sold for Rs 27 crores, highest for a Telugu film in recent times,” says a source, who claims that it is next only to music rights of ‘Pushpa The Rule’ which was traded for Rs 45 crores since the album of ‘Pushpa The Rise’ rocked the music world and hence the sequel got a fancy price.
Similarly, the much-hyped ‘Devara’ stands out among other big ticket Telugu films for his ‘fancy deal’ since it is billed to be an action adventure which has enough potential to rock pan-India film viewers since NTR has expanded his market after ‘RRR’. “His joining hands with composer Anirudh has surely changed the game and hiked the prices. Besides, Anirudh is basking in the massive success of ‘Jailer’ and ‘Leo’ and is also looking to prove his mettle with Telugu music buffs. He wants to establish that he is best in the business to dish out foot-tapping numbers and elegant background for big action films and give Telugu composers a run for their money,” he adds
No doubt, the audio rights of Telugu films are shooting up because more companies are vying for the music rights. "Rates have to moderate a bit,' he concludes.
