Reigning actress Rashmika Mandanna is reportedly drawing Rs 3 crore for her maiden female-oriented film ‘The Girlfriend’ and she has started shooting for the film too. “She has hiked her pay and pocketed Rs 3 crore plus since it is her first author-backed role in Tollywood. She has become one of the highest paid actresses and surpassed few of her rivals,” he says and adds, “Rashmika’s market has expanded and producers could recover their money in various forms,” he adds.
She worked with superstars like Mahesh Babu (Sarileru Neekevvaru), Allu Arjun(Pushpa), Vijay Devarakonda(Geeta Govindam) and Vijay (Varasudu) and was drawing less pay. “She was paid anywhere between Rs 1.5 to 2 crore while she worked with superstars but now it is a different story and she has to carry the film on her shoulders,” he adds.
She invariably joins the elite list of divas like Anushka Shetty, Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal who have become crowd pullers. “Rashmika has been ahead of other divas since she was young and has a fan following all over India. She is surely cashing on it and playing an anger-driven role to showcase her fiery side in her next after playing simple lover girl roles,” he points out.
Rashmika is also going to get busy in Bollywood after the big success of ‘Animal. “Rashmika has finally tasted success in Bollywood and she is going to be flooded with offers. She could even cut down her Telugu films, after much-hyped ‘Pushpa 2’ hits the screens next year,’ he concludes.
