It’s been a while since we saw actress Poonam Kaur on the big screen in Telugu. But she’s all set to return soon, and in a never seen before stylish avatar.
Poonam will be seen playing a key role in director Kunal Kohli’s upcoming Telugu Tamil bilingual, starring Tamannaah and Sundeep Kishan as the leads, and a source tells us that she’s set to break her girl next door image with this one.
“She has lost oodles of weight in recent times and looks rather svelte in this new avatar. Her styling too is new, from her hair to the clothes she wears. In fact, the actress herself is rather chuffed about the part because it is giving her a chance to explore a new side to her,” shares a source, adding, “Having done two Hindi films in recent times, and now working on this one, Poonam is on the go.”
Incidentally, the actress also spent a long time researching on handlooms and is keen to explore a future in that area. “As she was shooting in London, she used the advance she was paid to shoot a video about handlooms in relation to Pawan Kalyan, for whom she had designed the panchekattu look for the audio launch of Katamarayudu,” the source adds.
The actress has been meeting several bureaucrats to talk about the diminishing culture and crafts of India as she’s very passionate about the subject. In fact, during her trip to London, she even participated in the Bonalu celebrations with the local Telugu community.
