Keerthy Suresh Remuneration to Play Chiranjeevi's Sister in Bholaa Shankar

Usually, actresses who are in the reckoning, seldom agree to do ‘sister’ roles because it could affect their happening careers. However, the national award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh, took a chance, to play the sister of megastar Chiranjeevi in ‘Bholaa Shankar’ but she has done it for a premium. “She charged over Rs 2.25 crores to play the doting sister of Chiranjeevi and set a new precedent for other actresses to follow suit. She will surely go down as the highest paid actress for ‘sister act’ in Tollywood without denting her ratings,” says a source.

No doubt, Keerthy Suresh is much in demand in Tollywood and has shared screen space with superstar Mahesh Babu in ‘Sarkari Vari Paata” and hotshot star Nani in ‘Dasara’ and she is on the verge of a hattrick with ’Bholaa..’. “She is in discussion for a few big-ticket movies as a heroine and also doing a female-centric film. She is a sought-after-actress since she hasn’t worked with many Telugu stars yet,” he adds.

However, she appeared as a sister to superstar Rajinikanth in the Tamil movie ‘Annaththe’ and after a gap, repeated it for ‘Bholaa Shankar’ to showcase her versatility. Besides working with Rajinikanth and Chiru, doesn’t affect her ratings much, considering the ‘age gap’ between the two stars. "So she played her cards well and earned a good sum too," he concludes.
