Samantha is an amazing person: Vijay Devarakonda
Young actor Vijay Devarakonda, addressing the media after unveiling the trailer of his upcoming film “Kushi’, says he is missing his co-star Samantha at the event. “I am feeling bad for sitting alone on stage and surely missing her presence at this event. She has sent loads of kisses for everyone. We need to respect her privacy and give her necessary space,” he said. He admitted that he had a crush on Samantha after watching her films like ‘Yem Maya Chesavey’.
“It was a wonderful experience to act with an actress, on whom you had a crush before. She is an incredible actor and it was great working with her in ‘Kushi,” he adds. He rules out being a misogynist, “It is a misconception but people who know me personally, don’t believe such things. Though not a feminist, but I have regard and respect for women,” he points out.
Addressing the media from Kerala, he said that he is happy that he has fans in Kerala state. “I am happy to have fans in Kerala. I am amazed by Kerala movies for their terrific content and performances and I am a great fan of the Malayalam film fraternity,” he informs and adds, “I may do a Malayalam film, but I don’t have command over the language which is stopping me from stepping into Mollywood.”
He hails Tamil directors Vetrimaran and Pa Ranjith for their hard-hitting movies. “These two directors have baffled me with their elegant work. I am also looking forward to ‘Captain Miller,” he adds.
On the difference between working with Rashmika and Samantha, he says, "I will be happy with any pretty actress around me and enjoyed working with both,” he points out.
On marriage plans, he says he wants to look into the beautiful things in marriage over a few dark spots. “I would prefer the positive and beautiful side of marriage and negate other things since institution marriage deserves due respect,” he concludes.
