If reliable sources are to be believed, the much-hyped film ‘Saindhav’ starring Venkatesh, reportedly revolves around Zolgensma, counted as the most expensive drug in the world. “This injection would cost over Rs 17 crore and it has to be imported from the United States of America. It is considered as a one-time gene therapy used to treat spinal muscular atrophy,” says a source and adds, “It will also expose other evil deeds of the pharmaceutical industry besides their unethical relationship with corporate hospitals,” he adds.
Apparently, Venkatesh would be fighting for a social cause in this film after playing mostly fun-centric roles and it is going to fetch him a new kind of image. “He will take on the might of corporate criminals and their henchmen to bring in a change and make medical care affordable for the common man,” he points out.
The film would be riding high on family emotions between-father, wife and daughter-before plunging into a dark world of medical mafia. “No Telugu film has touched this topic and Venkatesh has chosen a unique plot to enthrall his fans and audience,” he informs.
Young director Shailesh has weaved this interesting action film after making investigative cop dramas like ‘HIT 1’ and ‘HIT 2’ but the film has reportedly gone over budget. “It is the costliest film in the career of a young and promising director,” he concludes .
