Actor Ram Charan and Sukumar’s next film, which has been in production for a while, finally has a title. After months of speculation, the filmmakers have announced that the movie is titled Rangasthalam, and is captioned 1985. The film, set in the Godavari belt, is a period drama set in the 1980s. Interestingly, it will trace a unique love story in those times.
“The film’s shooting is progressing briskly. Initially, the makers were keen to release it at the end of the year. However, with a lot of expectations riding on it, the filmmakers decided to take things slowly, and release the film for Sankranthi 2018.
Ram Charan and Aadi Pinisetty play brothers while Samantha Ruth Prabhu is the female lead. Pujita Ponnada plays a key role as well. The film is bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar and C.V. Mohan of the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
