Last year, actor Ravi Teja had agreed to be a part of the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster film Kanithan. However, the film, which was to be directed by T.N. Santhosh, who also directed the original, didn’t take off. One of the main reasons for this was producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu’s busy schedule. “Actor Nikhil Siddharth could now be a part of the film as he had liked the original. With the film now being offered to him, he is seriously considering it — especially since it’s a script that fits his image of being different and also suits his age perfectly,” shares a source from the industry.
It is also believed that Nallamalapu Bujji and Tagore Madhu are keen to take over from Kalaipuli as producers. While it is to be seen how things pan out on those two quarters, T.N. Santhosh wants to mark his Telugu directorial debut with this film as he sees the script as a perfect launch vehicle.
