South actress Trisha who's back in the limelight with Ponniyin Selvan series, and received appreciation for her gorgeous looks and performance was planning to return to Tollywood with a big ticket movie with megastar Chiranjeevi. The film was billed to be a family drama to be directed by Kalyan Krishna. However, now it appears, the film will take a while to be launched.
"The film is being deferred a bit so Trisha has to wait for some more time to arrive in Tollywood," says a source. The last film that Trisha and Chiranjeevi worked together was in ‘Stalin’, which came out in 2006.
However, the actress fas her hands full with Kollywood projects. Trisha has just wrapped up shooting for Thalapathy Vijay's ‘Leo’ with Lokesh Kanagaraj. She has numerous other Tamil projects in hand and the latest buzz is that the ‘Raangi’ actress will be seen with Megastar Chiranjeevi on screen after 17 years.
“Megastar Chiranjeevi's film with Trisha was to revolve around a father and son and the leading lady was said to be the character playing Chiranjeevi's wife. But now Chiranjeevi is looking to work with director V V Vinayak to deliver a mass action film,” the source adds.
Actually, Trisha had tasted success in Telugu movies with blockbusters ‘like “Varsham’, “King’, ‘Bodyguar’, ‘Sainkudu’ and ‘Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule' to carve a niche for herself in Tollywood. Later, she moved to Tamil films to rise to the top in Kollywood.
