Jordan trip was magical, says Iswarya Menon
Iswarya Menon made the most of her recent trip to Jordan to shoot for the film Spy. While her schedule was only for a week, she extended her stay by a week to explore the country along with her mother.
“Petra is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. It’s like a city within itself. The architecture of the tombs at Petra was beautiful,” Iswarya comments, adding that the technical aspects and the level of detailing that went into the structural design were truly magical. “The tombs are built with sandstone. They are pink in colour. But when the sun’s rays fall on the tombs during different times of the day, the colours change,” she shares.
She found her visit to the Dead Sea truly memorable, despite being scared of water bodies. She felt she was floating on the water. “It is one of the world's saltiest water bodies, and because of the density, swimming feels like floating,” the actress says, adding, “the sand from the Dead Sea has medicinal properties and many apply it on their bodies for health reasons.”
Iswarya also visited Amman, Wadi Rum and Sun City and describes the overall experience as “insightful.”
