Paisa Vasool actress Musskan Sethi is happily stepping out of her comfort zone for her next movie. Directed by Srinivas Reddy, the untitled female-centric film is a social drama inspired by a true story and is based on the traditions and culture of Nirmal town.
Talking about her role, Musskan says, “I play a girl who is fascinated with the well-being of Nirmal village. My character is trying to strengthen its traditional identity of developing crafts and toys.”
The actress will be sporting a de-glam look in the film. “It’s a total transformation from my earlier film. It’s a rustic look with minimal make-up. I’ll be sporting the traditional half-sarees. Shooting around the picturesque locations of Nirmal was really refreshing and a great detox for my mind. I spent more than 20 days in Nirmal. I got to learn a lot about the culture and practises,” she says.
Admitting that the role wasn’t an easy one, she reveals, “Getting the Telangana diction right, along with the expressions, was challenging. I took up the role because it gives me a great opportunity to connect with the masses and it is a performance-based one too. I want to thank the director for believing in my ability.”
