Mammootty stuns with his dubbing act
The recently-released teaser of the Telugu film Yatra, the biopic on former A.P. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, has created quite a buzz. While Mammootty, who is reprising the role of the late CM has been flooded with appreciative messages, apparently it is the actor’s dubbing that has garnered curiosity.
The Malayalam superstar has already started dubbing for his lines in the political drama and the film’s director Mahi V. Raghav is simply blown away by Mammootty ‘s base voice. “When I met him for the script discussions, he was able to mouth dialogues and keerthanas from his last Telugu film Swathi Kiranam (1992). Moreover, he has a base voice which will lend credibility and bring to life any authoritative role like YSR,” explains Mahi.
