Rajini, Chiru Showcasing Heroism With Gory Acts

Seasoned stars Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi are known for their action films, but they have turned extreme this time as both severing heads of their villains in their movies. Rajnikanth severs the head of a thug in his latest film ‘Jailer’ for making vulgar comments about his daughter-in-law.

In ‘Bhola Shankar', Megastar decapitates a villain for kidnapping and auctioning hapless young girls. “These two big stars could avoid such gory acts since they have attained a massive stature. It is bound to send wrong signals to other stars,” says a distributor.

Agreed that superstars have to do new stunts to establish their heroism, but these grisly acts are a bit too much for normal audiences to digest. “Such acts may fetch them instant claps and offer shock value but it encourages unhealthy heroism,” he adds

Directors Nelson and Meher Ramesh wanted to show their heroes as merciless while punishing evil forces, but chopping off heads without any remorse is unwarranted. “These two heroes are celebrated action stars and they could bring down the villains within established punishments instead of indulging in sanguinary acts,” he concludes.

Actually, the massive success of the 'KGF' series has re-defined heroism and glorified brutal killings by heroes, which others are emulating now.
