Popular director Srinu Vaitla has announced a new film with actor Gopichand after taking a break. He is known his comedy-centric star films like "Dhee", "Venky" and "Ready". "Srinu has great flair for comedy and delivered many hits. He extracted comic timing of Ravi Teja in the initial phase of his career. Their combination was assured of box office success but a disappointing response for their film Anjaneyulu put brakes to their winning streak," says a distributor.
Later, Vaitla joined hands with superstars like Mahesh Babu (Dhookudu) and Jr NTR (Baadshah) to deliver blockbusters and depicted action stars in a new light. However, his teaming with megastar Chiranjeevi didn't turn out to be winner as their much hyped movie "Andarivadu" bombed, he adds.
The comedy in his movies became stale and repetitive as most of his humour revolved around ace comedian Brahmanandam. "His graph began to dip after duds like Aagadu and Amar Akbar Antony. He was forced to take a break. With success of laugh riots like Samajavaragamana, Srinu believes that the timing is right for his comeback. He has overlooked many flops in comedy genre," concludes distributor.
It remains to be seen whether Srinu Vaitla has made the right decision or not only after the release of his film with Gopichand.
