Sleepless nights for Lawrence
Popular choreographer-turned-director Raghava Lawrence who tasted huge success with his horror saga ‘Kanchana’ series claimed that he used to go through some sleepless nights while making those ghost stories. “We can’t even go to sleep peacefully since weird thoughts keep disturbing us even in the nights," says Raghava Lawrence while promoting his next film ‘Jigardhanda 2’ in Hyderabad.
He claims that making horror flicks is a challenging job and requires a different mindset. “We should be bit mad to dish out ghost stories. From writing to making horror movies is a tough task and demands different mindset. I keep watching my face in a mirror and ask myself have you become Kanchana. While my mother teases him that I have already turned dreaded Kanchana and showing traces of it at home and even my nephew doesn’t spare me either,” he informs.
However, he assured that he would churn out ‘Kanchana 4, sooner than later, since it has fetched him name and fortune. “Even if it makes me mad, I will definitely make ‘Kanchana 4’ since the genre is close to my heart’ He concludes
On the work front, Lawrence’s last release ‘Chandramukhi 2’ didn’t set box office on fire and received lot of brickbats and trolls on social media for trying to ape an evergreen horror thriller ‘Chandramukhi’.
