Directed by Nag Ashwin, the filming of epic film Mahanati, where Keerthy Suresh plays Savitri, is almost over except for a few songs. In fact, the team shot a popular song and scene from one of Savitri’s landmark films, Mayabazaar recently, and the makers also wanted to shoot a few scenes featuring NTR and ANR. However, it looks like that’s off the to-do list now.
“Initially, they wanted to rope in actor Naga Chaitanya for the role of ANR while a couple of other actors were being considered to play NTR. But it didn’t work out. And so, they are now going the digital way and may insert scenes from their original movies,” says a source. With the release date fast approaching, the makers are eager to wrap up the remaining schedule on time. “There may be a chance that they don’t insert scenes of NTR and ANR at all,” added the source.
